MYANMAR (BURMA)
Myanmar, a place where people, architecture, roads, and villages appear to come from a prior lifetime, virtually left untouched, some decaying, some still bathed in love and spiritual beliefs. New hotels and restaurants are starting to sprout in tourist traffic areas, but the sporatic electricity and lack of outside contact limits the duration of stay. The people have a radiance about them, a warmth hard to describe to westerners who have isolated themselves behind computer screens or television programming. There is much to learn from the other side of the world, other ways to live, community, caring, and enjoying what life has given us.
